' We give you internship ! In return, You serve Lebanon ! '

In Summer 2010, around 70 students from public and private schools and universities, have joined our program in order to get an internship related to their major in respectable companies such as Virgin Megastore, NOCC, Al Mawarid Bank, Beta Engineering, Morgan International, HSBC, Man Enterprise, Fransabank, Banque Libano- Francaise, Four Points Hotel, Haagen Daz, Fedex, Agility, Khatib and Alami, MBC, Ogero and MTC.

The purpose of this program is to develop the young people’s professional skills and their sense of community and responsibility; the participants had the chance to do an internship but in return they had to do community service in centers like Rafic Hariri Hospital (children in cancer section), Dar Al Aytam al Islamya (orphanage), NAAM (Nahwa al Mouwatinya) or at LoYAC (committees). The LoYAC committee was divided into 3 groups, LoYAC Committee- Beirut, LoYAC Committee-Tripoli and LoYAC Awareness in suburban areas. Each group was asked to write its own proposal within a budget that does not exceed 300$.
The first group decided to help a poor family who has two young girls; the participants did their own study about the family conditions and needs in order to provide the girls with school stationary and clothes.

The second group in Tripoli distributed food to Beit al Yatema al Moslima in Tripoli and to other families in need in the same area. The group also spent a day in Beit al Yatema al Moslima to do activities with the help of Scouts Du Liban.

The last group chose 9 different families in 9 different areas and distributed food to them.
The students proved dedication while doing their community service and internship which helped LoYAC Summer Program to be once again successful.

Registration terms for Summer Program:
- Age between 16 - 25 years
- Minimum Average 12/20
- Good Command of two languages : Arabic and a foreign language (English or French)
